Paris has been a journey!

All I can say is, Paris is very confusing to me and I have never walked so much in my life! Being abroad really gets you in shape because you walk everywhere. 

For the long weekend we had in Paris we got a bus pass for two days where it takes you to all the places in Paris. We have literally seen everything there is to see, including the sites, a rally, and a rollerblade-a-thon (or so we think it was),  and been everywhere there is to be by the metros, the buses, the taxis, a bike cart ride. I can't explain to you the adventures we have had here. We were able to see the Eiffle Tower and walk up to the second floor, 600 stairs later and it was beautiful. It really was a dream come true! 

Paris is such a busy place and the cars here are crazy! They drive everywhere and I think they may not have traffic laws haha 

Oh the Adventures

Haven't posted in a couple days! But I am in Paris this week for a long weekend!  We arrived yesterday finally and ended up paying 200 euros for the can ride from the airport to our hotel! We were not prepared for that, for sure taking public transportation on the way back! But we made it and used a map all day to walk around and it was so pretty! It rained off and on but it was so nice still! We went to Notre Dame and it was so beautiful inside! It is amazing to see the architecture of these buildings! Tomorrow we are going to get a bus tour of Paris and I am so excited! 

Being abroad is one of the and probably the best things I have ever decided to do in my life. I never really understood the world outside of the US. In America when asked about traveling we talk about the different states we travel to throughout our own country. Abroad when you talk about traveling they talk about other countries and places around the world they visit. The horizon is so much broader! It is amazing to experience. I do miss America though, being able to just know where I am and exactly what I was doing is nice!

Mondays are so much better here!

Today was such a nice day! It went by really fast actually for a Monday and it was very nice! I was able to get a picture with my first class today! 

They are ao sweet and polite! I know all of their names too! Barcelona makes me so happy and I am so glad that I chose to come here and face my fears! 

Adventures of Barcelona!

This city is everything and more! It is so hard to describe the beauty of this city into words! It makes me so happy to be here! 

Today I went to this beautiful park that overlooked Spain and also had mosaic throughout it. Even though the wait to get in was too long we still were able to see some of the mosaic and it was beautiful! 

After that we went to Mt.Tibidabo which is this amazing church that is at the top of a mountain. When you are standing up there at the top your view is more amazing, it is breathtaking.

There is also an amusement park at the top of it! This place was beautiful and I would love to go there again before I leave. The church was also amazing! It is so pretty on the inside with all the stained glass windows and art. 

You basically walk everywhere or take a bus, train, or metro. It is so nice waking around a city. I never realized how much activity most Americans do not do during the day because of all the cars and technology. 

I am so glad I felt better today! It was such a pretty day and I can't wait to see more of Barcelona in a few weeks! There is still so much to see! 

Excited that Monday starts a short week because on Wednesday I leave for Paris! 

Friday!

Even though I do not feel good today, I did have a Good Friday! I learned all my kids names in the first class I have! That is really exciting because I always try to learn all the names in a class ASAP! I also went to the center of Spain last night. I am probably sick because it was so cold but it was so beautiful! I got to this really pretty church that I will have to go back at some point during the day and see! 

I hope I feel better tomorrow because I will not be sitting in my room while in Spain! Body, you better shape up! 

My Saturday

Last night I started to feel really bad, and I feel awful this morning. I wish I could spend my Saturday traveling but I feel so sick and weak that getting out of bed would be the hardest and most tiring thing ever. I really hope this is just some quick little exhaustion feeling and will go away by tomorrow! I do not want to be sick in Spain!

Second day at school!

Today I met my second class I have for my time here and they were just as precious as the first group! I just can't get over how sweet they are! I can't wait until I learn all their names! I taught a mini lesson today and it was very different. It will take some time for it to feel natural in a way because of how different the culture is. It is weird to not say "give me 5" so they stop taking. I am enjoying the time with them and am learning so much! Tomorrow is Friday which means traveling starts Saturday and I can't wait to spend my whole day out in the city of Barcelona!
