Mondays are so much better here!

Today was such a nice day! It went by really fast actually for a Monday and it was very nice! I was able to get a picture with my first class today! 

They are ao sweet and polite! I know all of their names too! Barcelona makes me so happy and I am so glad that I chose to come here and face my fears! 

Adventures of Barcelona!

This city is everything and more! It is so hard to describe the beauty of this city into words! It makes me so happy to be here! 

Today I went to this beautiful park that overlooked Spain and also had mosaic throughout it. Even though the wait to get in was too long we still were able to see some of the mosaic and it was beautiful! 

After that we went to Mt.Tibidabo which is this amazing church that is at the top of a mountain. When you are standing up there at the top your view is more amazing, it is breathtaking.

There is also an amusement park at the top of it! This place was beautiful and I would love to go there again before I leave. The church was also amazing! It is so pretty on the inside with all the stained glass windows and art. 

You basically walk everywhere or take a bus, train, or metro. It is so nice waking around a city. I never realized how much activity most Americans do not do during the day because of all the cars and technology. 

I am so glad I felt better today! It was such a pretty day and I can't wait to see more of Barcelona in a few weeks! There is still so much to see! 

Excited that Monday starts a short week because on Wednesday I leave for Paris! 

Friday!

Even though I do not feel good today, I did have a Good Friday! I learned all my kids names in the first class I have! That is really exciting because I always try to learn all the names in a class ASAP! I also went to the center of Spain last night. I am probably sick because it was so cold but it was so beautiful! I got to this really pretty church that I will have to go back at some point during the day and see! 

I hope I feel better tomorrow because I will not be sitting in my room while in Spain! Body, you better shape up! 

My Saturday

Last night I started to feel really bad, and I feel awful this morning. I wish I could spend my Saturday traveling but I feel so sick and weak that getting out of bed would be the hardest and most tiring thing ever. I really hope this is just some quick little exhaustion feeling and will go away by tomorrow! I do not want to be sick in Spain!

Second day at school!

Today I met my second class I have for my time here and they were just as precious as the first group! I just can't get over how sweet they are! I can't wait until I learn all their names! I taught a mini lesson today and it was very different. It will take some time for it to feel natural in a way because of how different the culture is. It is weird to not say "give me 5" so they stop taking. I am enjoying the time with them and am learning so much! Tomorrow is Friday which means traveling starts Saturday and I can't wait to spend my whole day out in the city of Barcelona! 

First day at school!

Today was so amazing! The school I am at is absolutely beautiful! Everyone is so nice and the kiddos are so precious! Here they call you by your first name so hearing them say my name was the cutest thing! It is harder to learn names but I am getting there! They only speak English in my class so I can communicate with them! My classroom is so so neat and the teacher is awesome! I can even see the futbol stadium from my classroom window! 

After school we went to the center of Barcelona because today was like their valentines day! For this holiday the boys buy the girls a rose and the girls buy the boys a book! There were rose and book stands everywhere! It was so crowded in the center though! 

Today was such a fun day and I am so exhausted! I did so much walking and the food was not too bad! I really do not get wifi unless I am at my residence so I can't talk until I get back from school! 

Finally Arrived!

I can't believe I am in Barcelona, Spain. I never thought I would be able to make it here and get through that long flight but I did. I can't wait to see what this next three weeks will hold! I am so excited and can't wait to start my first day tomorrow! My room is so cute and is like a little dorm room but cooler! Haha I get to wake up to a beautiful view every morning.

Can't believe it is time!

I can't believe I am at the airport to go to Spain! Of course it wouldn't be a Mallorie trip if there wasn't a suitcase overweight issue! Haha had to take clothes out to send back with my lovely friend bc the overweight fee was $150, sorry but I can do without some of my clothes!
